Our CCS facility is located in Thousand Oaks, California, in a fully equipped 110,000 sq. ft. facility containing a manufacturing assembly area, test capability, software development laboratory and an engineering center.

Products developed by CCS include the Shortstop Electronic Protection System (SEPS) for both military and civilian applications, the Data Link Validation System (DLVS) for validating and testing military data links, and the Wideband Secure Voice Equipment (WSVE) for secure voice radio transmission.

Electronic Protection Systems. . .

Shortstop Electronic Protection Systems SEPS

EDO is the world's only supplier of the Shortstop Electronic Protection System (SEPS), an innovative survivability system that is programmable and responsive to selected RF threats. SEPS is designed to pre-detonate RF proximity fused battlefield munitions, such as modern artillery shells, at a safe distance from their designated target. In use by the U.S. Army, SEPS is produced in three configurations – man-pack, vehicle mount or stand-alone.


Secure Voice Communications. . .

Wideband Secure Voice and Data Equipment WSVE

Our Wideband Secure Voice and Data Equipment (WSVE) upgrades existing UHF/VHF transceivers to a digital cryptographic voice and and data communications system.

 

Data Link Validation Systems. . .

Data Link Validation Systems DLVS

We are a world-wide supplier of tactical C2 displays, and communications interface systems and equipment. Along with support tools for simulation, test, and software validation operations, the DLVS supports military data link communications connectivity.

 

EDO is a world leader in Interference Cancellation (INCAN) Technology. EDO produces state-of-the-art cancellation systems for a wide variety of applications. Our products are successfully deployed in vital C3I applications on platforms for all U.S. military services and the FAA. EDO has been producing cancellation technology products for over 25 years.

Unwanted RF interference between radios, radars and jammers blocks communication, prevents detection and denies GPS location. EDO's Interference Cancellation Systems (ICS) remove interference from both collocated and remote sources, restoring full operational capability for all EMI waveforms.

Products developed by EDO include RF Distribution Systems and adaptive Interference Mitigation Subsystems for both military and civilian applications, GPS Jamming Suppression Modules to protect GPS receivers from being jammed, and a line of antennas and RF components.

Ground to Air Communications Systems . . .

Ground to Air Communications Systems
EDO provides multichannel Interference Cancellation Systems to protect the primary communications links between the ground and airplanes for several countries. Ground Stations employing numerous radios require these sophisticated Interference Cancellation Systems to prevent the radios from jamming each other.

Wireless Communications . . .

Trailblazer - Wireless Communications

Repeaters for the wireless telecommunications industry extend area coverage. EDO's Trailblazer line of Interference Cancellation Systems (ICS) greatly increases the range extension provided by the repeater. Trailblazer ICS's provide 50 dB of increased antenna isolation for both f1-f1 repeaters and for f1-f2 repeaters. These 20 ounce units are available in rack mounted or OEM versions.


GPS Anti-Jam . . .

GPS Anti-Jam

Protecting GPS receivers from being jammed is becoming a critical requirement for military applications. Precision Guided Munitions (PGM), in particular, require highly effective anti-jam modules that are small, rugged and inexpensive. EDO's 1.1 ounce GPS Anti-Jam Module suppresses jamming modulations from CW to broadband noise. This self-contained unit interfaces with any GPS receiver. The 2.5 cubic inch, gun hardened, unit has been component tested to 25,000 G's of acceleration and operates on a single voltage.

Extensive testing and computer simulations have thoroughly characterized the product's performance for a wide variety of jamming environments.

 

Digital Receiver/Repeater System (DRRS) . . .

Digital Receiver/Repeater System - DRRS

The Digital Receiver/Repeater System digitally measures pulse parameters including highly accurate angle of arrival, pulse width and amplitude, time of arrival and polarization. This multichannel system covers the VHF frequency range and is designed to operate in the mixed signal environments typically encountered at these frequencies. High-speed, analog-to-digital converters (ADC's) are employed to digitize RF signals from the environment at the earliest practical point in the receiver chain. Direct digital synthesis (DDS) and digital RF memories (DRFM) are incorporated to provide complete spectral, temporal and polarization control of the retransmitted signal.

This state-of-the-art digital system is a harbinger of how future systems will be designed.
