Communications and Networking Systems (CNS)
EDO designs and integrates voice and data communications equipment into end-to-end network solutions and provides military products and professional services to the United States Marine Corps, the US Navy, and the US Army. CNS focuses on systems and subsystems that are integral to the success of long-term military platforms and the US military's growing need for network-centric solutions and horizontal integration.

Military Communications Integration

International Field Communications
International Field Communications (IFC) provides project management, design, systems engineering, installation, implementation, testing, and life cycle support for finest frontline information technology and C4I systems used today. CNS has deployed communications technicians since 1992 to support U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Defense missions throughout the world.
IFC has developed technical solutions for a wide range of requirements and has expertise in Land Mobile Radio (LMR), HF Radio, Internet via Satellite Communications, LANs and WANs, and Video Surveillance Systems with extensive experience in the Balkans and Afghanistan.
Navy C4I
EDO provides key support to the US Navy for Navy C4I systems both ashore and afloat, CONUS and OCONUS.
Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange Systems – Maritime (CENTRIXS-M)
The objective of CENTRIXS-M is to promote effective and efficient information sharing in the tactical and operational environment between different nations. CENTRIXS-M provides secure text chat, recognized maritime picture, secure web and e-mail services, and voice over IP.Base Level Information Infrastructure (BLII)/OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net)
EDO assists in the systems engineering, migration, and transition of BLII, supports BLII upgrade of communications and IT capabilities, and provides on-site design configurations and systematic baseline requirements. CNS supports three major regions for each regional network operations and support center. On-site engineers are located in the Middle East, Far East, and Europe to provide technical support to Joint and Fleet exercises and to resolve integration issues among C4I systems.USAID OFDA Support
CNS USAID OFDA support acts as the "Signal Corps" for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). OFDA support includes satellite and mobile radio communications, IT networking, and operation of a 42,000 sq-ft Continuity of Operations Facility for OFDA staff based in DC and deployed worldwide in response to humanitarian crises.
Network and Security Operations/Operations Centers
CNS builds and maintains a General Support System (GSS) for use by all OFDA personnel worldwide, tactical and commercial interfaces, as well as test equipment and supplies.
Help Desk
For all Washington, DC locations, CNS provides on-site Help Desk support during working hours. All calls for assistance are addressed within thirty minutes. The Help Desk also supports OFDA field personnel, maintaining a 24 duty officer number to handle calls from overseas.
Communications Support
CNS maintains a team of communications officers to provide all OFDA and OTI personnel by issuing and maintaining a cache of communications equipment both from Washington, DC and on-site as communications officers on Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DART).
