EDO is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) systems and products. For over 20 years, as an antenna and receiver company, we have focused primarily on the ELINT and ESM segments of the electronic warfare market.
EDO manufactures integrated systems, antennas, receivers, digitizers, signal processors, and signal analysis software packages for ELINT, ESM, ECM, and SIGINT applications. This breadth of products allows us to be at the forefront of today's EW marketplace. We focus our expertise on providing state-of-the-art solutions.
Our product lines and capabilities reflect our two decades in the EW marketplace. This includes a full range of signal collection, direction-finding, range monitoring and signal processing systems and equipment. These are provided to the military and intelligence communities of the United States and its allies for use on land-based, shipboard, airborne and ground-mobile platforms.
Typical applications include reconnaissance, surveillance, maritime patrol, situational awareness and air defense systems.
ELINT/ESM Systems . . .
Our Shipboard ESM expertise provides alternative solutions depending on the customer's needs and budget. The ES-3701 Tactical Microwave Surveillance System is currently in service on ships and submarines for navies throughout the free world.
The ES-3701 ESM system provides all of the capabilities required of a modern ESM system for operation in today's difficult electromagnetic environment against today's complex radar threats. It uses the latest phase measurement technology for high-precision monopulse direction-finding, combined with a patented "autohet" receiver to achieve 100% probability of intercept.
EDO is at the forefront of antenna technology. We manufacture a broad range of antennas for the defense and aerospace marketplace.
Our antenna product line includes antennas for a wide variety of omni and direction-finding applications, including:
- Component antennas for mobile, airborne, shipboard, laboratory and fixed-site use
- Antenna systems for airborne, shipboard or ground mobile intercept and direction finding
- Aerospace antennas for satellites, missiles, the space shuttle and other launch vehicles
Our antenna systems are used in the ELINT/ESM/ Reconnaissance and Surveillance marketplace. These antenna systems feature not only Direction Finding (DF) antennas, but also positioners, preamplifiers, controllers and displays. These antenna systems can be both manually and computer operated.
Our aerospace antennas are designed to withstand large temperature extremes as seen in space, very large shock and vibration environments as seen on missile launches and high acoustical noises as seen on Space Shuttle and next generation spacecraft.
