EDO offers a highly competitive and comprehensive benefits package to its employees. The following is a brief summary of the benefits offered by EDO corporation to full-time regular employees.
Benefit offerings may vary by hiring division. For specific information about the benefits offered at the division in which you are particularly interested, please request this information from the HR recruiter.
Annual Leave, Vacation & Holidays
Full-time employees of EDO are provided a leave plan which protects them from financial
loss caused by unavoidable absences from work due to personal illness, injury or emergency.
Additional paid time off benefits include holidays, and vacation accruals beginning with
2 weeks per year.
Medical & Dental Insurance
Medical and Dental insurance is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents
immediately upon, or shortly after, their hire date. This benefit includes a number of
affordable options for both employees and their eligible dependents. EDO subsidizes the
remaining monthly premium costs for employees and dependents.
Life Insurance and AD&D
Full-time employees are provided life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment
insurance. This benefit is available upon date of hire at no cost to the employee.
Business Travel Accident Insurance
Employees who travel for company business are provided additional company-paid life insurance
of up to 5 times their base annual salary in the event of death while on company business.
Optional Life, AD&D or Dependent Life
Insurance
Full-time employees are also provided the option to purchase additional life insurance
and accidental death & dismemberment insurance for themselves, or life insurance
on eligible dependents, at reasonable group rates.
Disability Insurance
Full-time employees are eligible for short-term and long-term disability insurance. This
benefit is available upon date of hire.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Full-time employees may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars toward eligible health care
or dependent care expenses. Employee contributions to a Flexible Spending Health Care
Account or Dependent Care Account are made through convenient pre-tax, payroll deductions,
so that employees reduce their taxable income.
Education and Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time employees may receive tuition reimbursement for classes that relate to their
particular job function, a promotional opportunity, or to a pre-approved degree program.
Military Leave
Military Leave, with pay reconciliation of 2 weeks per year, is granted to full-time
employees participating in reserve duty. Additionally, unpaid Military Leave is granted
to employees who are recalled to active duty during a time of war.
Employee Investment Plan and Employee Stock
ownership Plan (ESOP)*
Full-time and regular part-time employees automatically participate in the Investment
Plan and ESOP on the first of the month following 30 days of employment at 3% of their
pre-tax pay. Employees may elect to contribute up to 30% of their pre- or after-tax pay
to the plan. EDO matches 50% of the first 6% of income that employees contribute to the
plan. This match is in the form of EDO stock through the ESOP. Employees are 100% vested
in the Company match after only three (3) years of service with the company.
Workers’ Compensation Insurance*
EDO provides a comprehensive workers’ compensation insurance program at no cost
to employees. Subject to state laws, this program provides coverage for any injury or
illness sustained in the course of employment with EDO that requires medical, surgical
or hospital treatment.
*These benefits are also available to part-time employees.
