OC-192 Components EDO entered the long-haul communications product market in 2000. Our strong design team, coupled with a high volume thin film manufacturing facility is well suited to supplying DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) product to the fast growing transport market.

Moving from concept to successful (form/fit/function) delivered product in less than four months, our portfolio of products will continue to expand. With capabilities up to 12.5 Gbps, our modules can accommodate a full range of forward error correction systems.

The communications product group is currently developing integrated products necessary to support the need for reduced foot print and power requirements currently driven by the increasing number of wavelengths.

INTEGRATED DUAL RZ MODULATOR DRIVER
This broadband assembly accepts NRZ and clock inputs directly from a MUX at data rates in excess of 12.5 Gbit/sec. It converts NRZ waveforms to RZ waveforms and produces data output levels up to 8 Vpp and clock output levels up 15 Vpp. It is designed to drive dual Lithium Niobate modulators.

MODULATOR DRIVER AMPLIFIER
This broad bandwidth NRZ modulator driver amplifier is designed to operate at data rates in excess of 12 Gb/sec. It is intended to drive lithium niobate modulators at output voltages of up to 7 Vpp for input signals as low as 0.3 Vpp. The amplifier incorporates output voltage control and eye crossing symmetry adjustment.

APPLICATIONS: Optimized for use with OC-192/STM64

MULTI-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER
Dual independent saturating band-limited amplifiers operating in the 6 and 12 GHz bands. Each amplifier has a voltage controlled variable output level providing up to 15 Vpp to drive a lithium niobate phase modulator. Output levels and phases are independent of input amplitude variations and operating temperature.

CLOCK PHASE SHIFTER
This Integrated Phase Shift Module provides customer specified analog and digital delays for sinusoidal clock signals. Our Clock Phase Shifter can accommodate up to 720 degrees of continuous phase shift and 540 degrees of digital phase shift.

5-POLE REFLECTIONLESS BESSEL LOW PASS FILTER
This high-performance Absorptive Low Pass Filter approximates a 5th order Bessel Thompson Filter with linear phase and low return loss extending well beyond the filter 3 dB bandwidth.
