Information and Knowledge Management
EDO TSO's Information and Knowledge Management solutions use proprietary processes and tools integrated with commercial applications and hardware to gather, convert, format, and deliver information and/or knowledge across a client's enterprise.

Information Management (IM) and Knowledge Management (KM) are very similar processes. People often interchange the two terms because they think the terms mean the same thing. Information Management and Knowledge Management systems produce very different end results.

Information Management Systems (IMS) gather data in a comprehensive manner, from a variety of sources and structures the data into formats that can be read, understood, and acted upon by a recipient (person, equipment, and/or computer). Next the system automatically or on demand delivers the structured data (information) to recipients that lead towards a better working organization.

Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) go one large step further. A KMS couples applicable information with captured organizational experience/knowledge and shares the information and experience, together, with the appropriate recipients so that it leads to a more competently and efficiently operated organization.

Many of EDO TSO’s products incorporate information and/or knowledge management systems or features. Some examples are:
