The MOLS is a palletized, self-contained mine countermeasures mission package providing a high power open loop magnetic and acoustic influence sweep capability to any surface platform. This system uses a gas turbine/generator set developed for and in use on the MK-105 Mod 4 AMCM. The system maximizes the size of the magnetic field and provides the greatest swept path possible while maintaining a significantly smaller size and weight than comparable diesel generator sets.
