We successfully provide specialized Surface Mount Technology (SMT) support and production to our customers with the highest standards of quality and reliability. EDO is a designer, manufacturer and approved supplier of High Reliability Electronic Assemblies for the U.S. Military and Space Community since 1945.

We specialize in high end products (e.g. high reliability military and space products) especially where size is a concern. This includes engineering, production, and test of SMT modules where hermetically sealed ceramic components, especially leadless chip carriers, are required to meet both reliability and volumetric requirements. We are particularly adept at implementing constrained core designs to meet these requirements when dictated by the typical environmental requirements of military or space programs. Our proprietary processes to address the inherent problems with constrained core design have been developed and proven through a succession of successful programs each using "the latest in carrier concepts".

We are seeking mutually beneficial partnerships, with innovative contract manufacturing companies, interested in extending their services to include this specialized capability. We are capable of providing a comprehensive range of engineering and production services. Our expertise in design engineering, including circuit design and printed circuit board layout, assembly line production and all aspects of inspection and testing, has established EDO's reputation of manufacturing excellence.
