EDO CORPORATION RECEIVES $24.8 MILLION CONTRACT TO DEVELOP THE WEAPON DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR THE JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER (JSF) PROGRAM
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - January 9, 2002 - EDO Corporation (NYSE:EDO) announced today receipt of a contract in the amount of $24.8 Million from the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. for the design, development and manufacture of a suite of pneumatic weapon delivery systems for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). EDO's Suspension and Release Equipment System (S&RE) provides a required capability for the JSF System Development and Demonstration (SDD) aircraft that Lockheed will provide to the U.S. Air Force.
Design and development will be performed by EDO at its Marine and Aircraft Systems located in Amityville, NY. Production of the SR&E will extend through 2026.
