EDO CORPORATION TO RELEASE FIRST QUARTER RESULTS
ON TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2002; WEBCAST SET FOR 10:00 AM EDT

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - May 2, 2002 - EDO Corporation (NYSE:EDO) announced today that it plans to release financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2002 at approximately 8:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, May 7, 2002. EDO Corporation has scheduled a conference call that morning to discuss its results for the quarter.
