AWARDED $11.4 MILLION FOR B-1B BOMBER SUSTAINMENT AND PERFORMANCE
IMPROVEMENTS
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - June 13, 2002 - EDO Corporation (NYSE:EDO) announced today that it has recently been awarded contracts, together valued at $11.4 million, from Warner Robins Air Logistics Center to provide continuing support and performance improvement of the AN/ALQ-161A Electronic Countermeasures System for the U. S. Air Force fleet of B-1B aircraft. The ALQ-161A is the B-1B's electronics defense system which helps protect the aircraft from enemy air and ground attack.
The contract runs through June 2003 and will be performed by EDO's
Electronic Systems Group, located in Deer Park, New York. This
contract increases the total 2002 new awards for B-1B support
services to $21 million.
"The ALQ-161, which has undergone sustained and effective
hardware and software improvement, is a candidate for continued
upgrade and support improvements for the life of the B-1B,"

Corporation. "Our total revenue from the B-1B program for
development and production has exceeded $4 billion since the program's
inception in the early 1980's. We anticipate additional orders
for this program during the remainder of 2002."
