RECEIVES U.S. NAVY CONTRACT
VALUED UP TO $50 MILLION
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - August 14, 2002 - EDO Corporation (NYSE:EDO) announced today the receipt of an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract for the production of Cluster Snoop Systems and spares from the U.S. Navy. The initial Delivery Order is for twelve systems and sets of spares, valued in excess of $20 million, with initial funding in excess of $16.5 million. Total potential value of all supplies and services that could be ordered under the contract approximates $50 million over a five-year period.
EDO Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems, which completed the acquisition of certain assets of Condor Systems, Inc. on July 26th, will perform the work at its Morgan Hill, Calif. facilities.
