EDO TO RELEASE THIRD QUARTER RESULTS ON OCTOBER 28

NEW YORK - October 5, 2004 - EDO Corporation (NYSE: EDO) expects to release its third-quarter 2004 financial results prior to the NYSE open of trading on October 28.

The company has scheduled an analyst conference call for 10:30 EDT that morning. A live webcast of the conference call will be available to all investors at the EDO Corporation website at www.edocorp.com.
