EDO WINS THREE CONTRACTS TO SUPPORT MARINE CORPS AND NAVY PROGRAMS

NEW YORK - Oct. 13, 2005 - EDO Corporation (NYSE: EDO) has been awarded three competitively-procured contracts totaling $15.4 million. The contracts are for professional services provided to U.S. Marine Corps and Navy programs.

The awards include a five-year, $7.5 million contract renewal to support the Marine Corps Joint Concept Development and Experimentation office. As part of the effort, EDO professionals interact with the U.S. Joint Forces Command to develop and assess joint warfighting concepts and experiments in areas such as joint command and control, battlespace awareness, logistics, force protection, information operations, and force application. They also support war games, prototype initiatives, limited objective experiments, and similar matters for Joint Urban Operations.

In a new competitive win, EDO was awarded a $3.6 million design and engineering contract supporting the Marine Corps Logistics Command and Control (Log C2) component of the Marine Corps Global Combat Service Support System (GCSS-MC), a program intended to advance future readiness and operations with deployable IT tools. EDO will develop specifications and documentation for an operational architecture to address command and control of logistics functions.

In support of the Navy’s Flying Hour Program, EDO professionals will collect and analyze data used to assess fleet aviation readiness. The four-year, $4.3 million contract renewal includes participation in the Navy FHP strategic planning process and integration.
