EDO AND SONARTECH ATLAS JOIN FORCES FOR
AUSTRALIAN COMPETITION

NEW YORK & SYDNEY, Australia - Feb. 2, 2006 - EDO Corporation (NYSE: EDO) and SONARTECH ATLAS Pty Ltd have teamed to compete for the undersea-warfare suite on the Australian Air Warfare Destroyer. Under the agreement, EDO will offer its Integrated Sonar Suite and SONARTECH ATLAS will provide in-country systems engineering, project management and through life support capabilities.

EDO’s Integrated Sonar Suite has already been selected by the Royal Navy for the UK’s Type 45 Air Warfare Destroyer. It is an open system, using commercially available components, which provide interoperability, low risk, and high value for the investment.

The EDO-SONARTECH ATLAS team will make this advanced technology available to the Australian program, in addition to performance gains that continue to be realized from the ongoing joint development of the system in the US and UK.
